The week is finally over and I’m quite thankful. Here’s a small recap of some of my highlights.
Sunday-Monday: fckshtup takeover south padre begins. Our great friends at Mooncussers allowed us to set up shop all week long, which made for an incredible time every single night. BIG thanks to everyone that helped out, including Nugget, Mattie, Thomas, Karla, Abe, and of course the one and only Katie Vegas.
Never Say Never Music Festival, the little project that Geo and I have been working endlessly on since November, finally came about on St Patty’s Day. 40 bands, 3 stages, one hell of a headache. Everything ran pretty smooth and I can’t thank EVERYONE involved in making it possible. Literally a list of names too long to list, but you know exactly who you are.
Pete Wentz DJ set at Mooncussers South Padre was bonkers.
Friday-Sunday: SXSW in Austin with some great friends. Most of the time was spent at the Moodswing360 parties, they’re some of my favorite agents from NY I love to work with. We like to party. My favorite surprise of the weekend came from Kelley James, check out his tunes asap. This kid is going to blow up.

Photos from the fckshtup photoshoot are starting to trinkle in. And here’s a screenshot of the fckshtup.com website I’m working on…
Big thanks to those that helped with their time and faces: Brittany, Ale, Katie, Jerry, Ricco, Doug, and of course Johnny Solis of Urban Rage Photog.

Super excited about our first official fckshtup photoshoot we had on friday with Johnny Solis. That kid is a third degree black belt ninja with his photos, hopefully some will be floating around the internet by the end of the day.
Mitchell outwithme posted his photo blog from our weekend trip to Monterrey, I’ve uploaded a few photos but you can check out the rest at outwithme.com

Abe’s inspired me to update my blog a little more, so expect tons of more stories, photos, and weird shit. Check out his awesome 365 blog here.
Things are crazier than ever for me. I’m not one to nag, but balls, I’m drowning with projects, work, and school. One of the more exciting ones is fckshtup clothing, which is nearing it’s official launch along with a launch party. Last night Katie and I had another meeting to see where everything is at, share ideas, and drink some wine at one of my favorite eateries, house.wine. in McAllen.
Didn’t think it was going to happen again, but I’m helping out Mooncussers SPI with their spring break funtivities. So I’ve been planning and coordinating what sort of entertainment they’ll have during Texas Week, along with surrounding dates. Last year was insanely awesome, so this year should be no different.
The new Toy Story 3 trailer was released today, and boy oh boy am I excited. Doesn’t seem like it’ll match up to the wonderful storyline 1 and 2 had, but is geared toward more laughs. So many new toys! I kept smiling throughout the entire 2 and half minutes of the trailer, hopefully I’ll do the same for the entire movie on June 18th!

Early last year I came up with the idea of fckshtup since that’s all we did. One of my best friends Katie Vegas then had the brilliant idea to make a few tshirts and she outhustled me in getting them done, what a trooper! We will be releasing our very own line of fckshtup tees, and they’ll be available to purchase online and at several local retailers, along with the 2010 Never Say Never Festival. During the LMFAO concert in December, we released a bunch and completely sold out in a single night and tossed a few into the crowd, so those of you who have one hold something special.
We’ll be sponsoring some of our favorite artists such as Shwayze, LMFAO, DJ Skeet, Gabriel Castle, Outwithme, Aberazzi, and several local bands. If you have any photos of you wearing your fckshtup tee, or have what it takes to be sponsored (bands, DJs, etc) shoot me an email to zar@zarphoto.com
Tonight we’ll be having our very first sexy party photoshoot tonight! We’ll be releasing our official website next week so stay tuned for all the sexy goodness…

Quite the weekend. My friday was spent with the Sharyland Rattlers, watching them win their 10th straight game and becoming the second program in all of Sharyland history to finish an undefeated season. Good group of kids, hoping to see them advance a few rounds in the playoffs. Shouts to Scottie Meyer, Ricky Mata, Chris Zuniga, Erik Martinez, and Bobby Moran.
Saturday I held the Minus the Bear show in McAllen. Amazing is an understatement, they completely blew me and everyone else away. Afterwards, I allowed my friends Katie and Vic co-host their own private birthday party at the house, so a nice bunch of us had some of the most amazing times in the vegas-themed fiesta. It wasn’t my party, so if you weren’t invited, don’t get all butt hurt. Kudos to Katie and Vic for the decorations.
Thanks for being there…

FUN weekend. I shot the football game on friday evening then went out with some friends downtown, which is where I also met Megan Fox, NBD. Saturday a few of us hit the golf course for a few hours, then threw yet another amazing dirt cheap party at the house. Safe to say that our rooftop lounge is much more deluxe than the one downtown, nothing personal. I genuinely enjoyed it from beginning to end, saw some great folks I wanted to hang out with, and played tons of games. I also learned that there was a plot to beat me up in Austin, how dope! @yobigboss is an amazing dude which I’m glad I met. Adrian and his gf Victoria #2 are dirt nasty, they remind me of what used to be.
I’m absolutely loving the way things are right now, all I need is my REAL life princess.

A few of my friends and roommates all got together to throw one of the best parties we’ve ever had at our place. We were looking for an excuse to not go downtown, as we’re all pretty sick and tired of it (for the most part). I still hold lots of love for Boiler Room. Definitely more dirt cheap parties coming. Check out tons of more pictures at gabrielcastle and aberazzi.
Tons to look forward to, especially going back to school! It’s been almost three years since I hit the books, and now it’s time to go back and finish up. Huge concerts, dirt cheap parties, and plenty of trips out of town…this is definitely going to be my year.

Must Watch: INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS
I’ve caught it twice already, it’s that good. Tarantino took elements from all of his previous movies and combined it into this 2 and a half hour long milkshake of cinema history with Inglorious Basterds. Christopher Waltz (who plays the antagonist) delivers an oscar worthy performance, yet my favorite role still belongs to Eli Roth as the “bear jew”. There are simply so many great elements that make this film one of my favorites from Tarantino that I’d have to write at ten page report. Every scene (or chapter) will be remembered for a long time, especially the opening sequence and the climax. 5 out of 5 dinostarz.

I’ve officially joined the gym. It’s something that I’ve always put on the backburner for years, something I’d admittingly hate to even want to pay for – $40 a month pluuus enrollment fees? Well, it’s only been a week and I’m pretty happy about everything so far. My body is in complete shock, best way to describe it is if I was just gang raped by a bunch of cholos. But it really does feel good, and I’m looking forward to simply being healthy.
Monikapolitan joined forces with one of my best friends, Gabriel, for her current summer promotional run. And he’s doing such an incredible job with it, to say that I’m really proud of them both is an understatement. I’ve seen both of their projects grow at tremendous rates, and they’ve yet to see their pinnacle. Visit monikapolitan.com for your summer threads and gabrielcastle.com to check out his dope vision and photography. Alot of photogs out there forget about simplicity, doing more with less, which is why I personally enjoy Gabriels’ vision. Along with his spontaneous efforts, he always captures some great shots.
Check out some of the dope upcoming terminator lineup in Terminator Salvation. I remember being terrified when I was a youngster and watching Terminator. These cyborgs simply wouldn’t stop. Can’t wait till the day we see SKYNET become self aware.
Working on something big for the fall. Summer’s already looking tasty with HEY MONDAY, EVERY AVENUE, and EMERY. And I’ve also begun preparing for a trip to New York. Last time I visited in 2006 I really didn’t take advantage of my time there. We did stay at the super deluxe Westin in Times Square, and needless to say, I think I’m going back.

Wowzers! Tim Burton’s website subscribers received an exclusive email announcing The Art of Tim Burton, a limited edition hard cover book featuring over 1,000 illustrations on 400 pages. My mom always thought I’d grow up to be an artist or architect, which obviously isn’t the case, but I’ve still got some cute little creative skills. Tim Burton’s films have always been some of my favorite, and I’m ecstatic about his upcoming Alice in Wonderland, so this book with his illustrations is a must have. I know somebody else that wouldn’t mind owning one.
