Wowzers! Tim Burton’s website subscribers received an exclusive email announcing The Art of Tim Burton, a limited edition hard cover book featuring over 1,000 illustrations on 400 pages. My mom always thought I’d grow up to be an artist or architect, which obviously isn’t the case, but I’ve still got some cute little creative skills. Tim Burton’s films have always been some of my favorite, and I’m ecstatic about his upcoming Alice in Wonderland, so this book with his illustrations is a must have. I know somebody else that wouldn’t mind owning one.

2009 has officially been my worst year for film. Great movies keep coming out, I keep buying DVDs, and I’ve yet to sit down and watch any of them, much less visit my local theatre. I had a routine: arrive late, pick up nachos with extra cheese, large cherry coke, and a small cup for jalapeños. I can’t remember the last time that happened. Nobody told me that May is almost here, which means tons of summer blockbusters! I stumbled upon a film about a wonderful little relationship called Adam. Adam tells the story of a boy with aspergers syndrome who forms a friendship with a girl, but with his disability, could it develop into more? It looks pretty amazing, in a cute almost cheesy kind of way. Check out the trailer yourself…
Karmaloop.com is having a silly 3-day sale where you save 50-85% off on tons of select items. Mr Luck Magee came knocking and it turns out they only had my size on these Supra kicks. Actually half a size up (11.5), but I’ll double sock it if I have to. Originally priced at $110, I snatched these for only $54. Dope.
2 days left, visit karmaloop.com and save big.

I’m peeing chunks and puking liquid. Did I at least have fun last night?
I woke up in a stranger’s bathtub with a broken shower curtain as my blanket.
I’m at the bar and I misjudged a fart…go home or ride the night out? Nevermind, the bouncer made the decision for me…be home soon
EPIC WIN, thanks to @BobDoesItBig for the tip.
Sometimes you don’t feel remorse till the dust settles. I’ve learned a few things about myself and those around me that are affecting me a great deal, both positively and negatively - respectively. I wish I could sit and lie through my teeth about my emotions and how life is dope, but I’ve come to the conclusion that when I die, who’s going to care? It’s easy to paint a picture and pretend everything is great. You will forget what I’ve said and done, I just hope you remember how I’ve made you feel.
I woke up super late today, I haven’t felt like myself in such a long time, but here’s something to look forward to…

I strongly believe that if Satan himself owned a cat, it used to be Buddy in his previous life. Not that I don’t love Buddy, he’s just…difficult. So in order to keep myself out of going to Hell, I made sure to have a “spend some time with my cat day” yesterday. I bought Buddy a few items at Petco, including food, a dope new bed to sleep in, and plenty of toys to keep him busy.

Holy guacamole with hot sauce and jalapenos! Today is the 25th birthday of my childhood besties, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And to celebrate, The Mirage Group have officially announced that they will be making a new live-action film for 2011. I was 5 years old when the original film was released, and completely grew up on the turtles, so I can’t explain my excitement for this announcement. They failed with 2007’s animated TMNT, so this should do everyone justice as they’re describing it as a Batman Begins reboot, “remaining true to the spirits of the original comic books”.

Turtle Power!

Thug Life
There are so many good films being released this year, but seeing as I’m a horror geek, here’s a dope tease of Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2. I’m a fan of Zombie’s vision in film, he’s not afraid to change things much less make you hate him. This frame shows Michael Myers in tramp rags, obviously toying with what we’re used to seeing.

Wowzers! This video of DJ AM and Travis at Coachella just gave me the chills. Reminded me that both Lindsay Lohan and Megan Fox are single, so that makes us a three piece! They’re the two stars of my yet-to-be released book, it’s titled “Girls I’d Like to F**k”
Last night, I was clobbered during our weekly softball game. A ground ball bounced off my glove and onto my left arm, then ricochet onto my lower jaw. It felt well deserved. I’m a proud owner of two bruises and I’m pretty sure everyone saw some hand-drawn birdies circling around me after the hit. We lost 15-0, FML.

Our weekend was a roller coaster ride, ups and downs. Geo, Doug and I rented an SUV to make our trip to Houston a little more dope. Lisa and Robby met us up on Saturday so we could all hit up the Fall Out Boy concert at Sam Houston Race Park. Unfortunately the weather didn’t allow it, so the promoters had no choice but to postpone the event.
We drove to The Galleria for some shopping and ice skating and we ran into Pete Wentz, Alex ATL, and the lovely kids from Hey Monday (maybe you should get into this band, just a thought). All Time Low then officially made Twitter history by putting on a super secret acoustic show just right outside of the mall at 9:30 pm in due to the canceled show. I’d say about 150 fans showed up to a desolate, dark area under Houston’s nightsky. Wish you were there…

UPDATE: I found some fan-submitted footage of the impromptu acoustic set. I just want you to see how incredibly dark and cute this was to experience.
Afterwards we hit up Wentz’ afterparty at Rich’s Nightclub in midtown Houston, which was dope. Gabe Saporta (Cobra Starship) and Wentz hit the decks around 1 am and played a pretty impressive playlist.

And my weekend only got better when I bought a super sweet pair of Supra kicks at Sneaker Lab. And I must mention my new found love of the Waffle House, mouth watering waffles for $2.75 a piece.

I have a fascination of watching alot of movies during my spare time, but I’ve realized that it’s completely fallen off the face of the earth the past two months – take a guess. For $2,000 an hour, I can hire Sasha Grey to give me the girlfriend experience. The teaser poster even gets my dick wet, and what a fresh tag line: See it with someon you ****.
Story follows Chelsea (portrayed by adult film star Sasha Gray) as an ultra high-end Manhattan call girl who offers more than sex to her clients, but companionship and conversation – “the girlfriend experience”. Chelsea thinks she has her life totally under control—she feels her future is secure because she runs her own business her own way, makes $2000 an hour, and has a devoted boyfriend who accepts her lifestyle. But when you’re in the business of meeting people, you never know who you’re going to meet…
I’ve yet to see it, but I think I’m going to relate to this film fairly well. Coming later this month On Demand and theaters in major Texas markets sometime in late May/June.

Caliente
I’m hoping this weekend I’ll get to catch up a bit, maybe watch Observe and Report and Adventureland with Kristin Stewart. Anybody know her? Somebody introduce…

Mucho Caliente
I’m sure everyone by now has previewed the incredible Where The Wild Things Are trailer. Super excited about it, no doubt. Well, be sure to watch the trailer below for the new-adapted Spike Jonze film, Everyone Poops, based off the uber popular 10-page childrens book.
Funniezz! I’m so behind on my DVD purchases, hopefully this weekend I’ll have the chance to buy some of my favorites that have been out for the past two months.

Mark’s Dirty Thirty birthday celebration in Vegas is now officially over. He’s one of the men responsible for so many great things happening down here in South Texas (Nowhere Clothing, Roosevelts at 7, Mooncussers SPI). In fckshtup greatness, we all flew to Las Vegas to help him celebrate his 30th.

Happy Birthday Mark!
As soon as we arrived at Mandalay Bay, we hit up Eyecandy Lounge for a few drinks. Eyecandy is surrounded by all the table games, and I’m a roulette kid, so I stayed around and bet on all of my numbers. After a few hours of drinky drinks and hitting the tables, we all went to one of Mark’s favorite local spots – Peppermill. Amazing pancakes with bananas!

Friday afternoon was a personal day. Doug Geo Alex and I did our own thing, hitting up shops and friendly bars for threads and drinks. We absolutely had to have California Pizza Kitchen, moreso since neither of the guys had ever tried it.

More gambling, drinking. Late in the evening we all met up again to hit up LAVO at the Palazzo. These pictures are all courtesy of Alex, who must have taken at least 1,000 shots throughout the night.

By 2 am, I was exhausted, literally running to my hotel room as soon as we got back with Doug yelling, “Zar, come back! Let’s hit up the tables! NOOO.” The next morning we met up with Rey and Chrissy at their hotel next door. We gambled a small bit and had lunch with them while we waited for the cabana to be ready. Saturday night we danced at LAX at the Luxor, which was pretty amazing. We didn’t take any pictures though. Afterwards we continued our luck at blackjack and roulette.

Much love to everyone that hit Vegas hard - Mark and Jessica, Alex Macias, Travis and Hector, our new friends from LA and Daniel from NY (which looks slightly like DJ AM), Geo Abe Doug and Alex, Rey Chrissy and Christina (hope you guys enjoyed your time out there). I’m so happy I’m back home, sometimes Vegas doesn’t treat you too nicely with gambling.

Let's go home..
